 Prison Program Description: Napoleon Hill Project

PurposeThe Napoleon Hill Project is a pilot program implemented by the General Assembly to rehabilitate prison inmates and reduce recidivism by using a course of study based on developing positive mental attitudes.
Criteria for ParticipationThe Napoleon Hill Project is at Blanch Youth Institution, Central Prison, Duplin Correctional Center, North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women, Pender Correctional Institution and Western Youth Institution. Inmates at these prisons can volunteer or staff may refer them for participation in the program.
Program OperationStaff who have completed the Positive Mental Attitude Science of Success Program and have been certified by the Napoleon Hill Foundation serve as instructors for the eight week course that seeks to improve participants's self esteem, self assurance and feelings of self control.
