Execution Media Advisory

Monday, November 16, 1998

Death row inmate John Thomas Noland is scheduled for execution Friday, November 20, at 2 a.m. at Central Prison in Raleigh. Noland was convicted in Mecklenburg Superior Court on Nov. 5, 1982, for the murder of Cynthia and Troy Milton, the sister and father of his estranged wife.

Media who need to photograph the death watch area and the execution chamber in Central Prison may do so Monday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. This will be the only time news media will be allowed into the execution chamber before the execution.

Media should be on time and bring a photo I.D. and media identification. Warden James B. French will explain execution procedures. The session will last one hour.
