| Funeral services were held for retired
prison superintendent Richard Hardee on Dec. 11. Hardee
died Dec. 10 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Hardee served as superintendent of Greene Correctional Center from 1979 until his retirement from the department in June 1988. Hardee began his 17-year career with the department in 1971 as a correctional officer.u |
