Marion inmates clean up Children's Home on "Make a Difference Day"
On Saturday, October 28th, inmates from Marion Correctional Institution's Minimum Security Unit volunteered and joined forces with Marion Moose Lodge, PRIDE, and Wal-Mart on "Make A Difference Day" at the Holly Hills Children's Home in McDowell County.
The inmates installed new beds purchased by the Women of the Moose Lodge. They also raked leaves, painted rooms, repaired the front deck, cleaned gutters, poured a concrete picnic area and performed other general maintenance duties for the home.
