Inmate found dead in apparent suicide

 RALEIGH – Inmate Nicole Bouleris, 29, was found dead this weekend, the victim of an apparent suicide.  Officers at North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women discovered her hanging from her bed at about 8:15 Saturday morning.

 Bouleris was serving an eight-month sentence for drug related crimes in Durham County.  She had previously served time for an arson conviction in Wake County.

 The State Bureau of Investigation is examining the incident, which is standard procedure in prison deaths due to non-natural causes.
