Guilford escapee captured in Florida

 MCLEANSVILLE – Inmate Billy Michael Sutton, 29, (#0881704) was captured by Bay County officers Thursday at a motel in Panama City, Fla.

Sutton, who was serving an eight-year sentence on a 2005 robbery with a dangerous weapon conviction in Guilford County, walked away from his work assignment at Road Machinery Services in Greensboro on March 13.

The North Carolina Department of Correction will make arrangements for Sutton's extradition to North Carolina.
