Two inmates escape from Foothills minimum custody unit

MORGANTON – Corrections and law enforcement officers are seeking inmates Brandon Curry (#0953795) and Justin Ramey (#0834989) who escaped from the minimum-security unit at Foothills Correctional Institution in Morganton Wednesday night. 

Both inmates are from Cleveland County. They were last seen at a 9 p.m. count and discovered missing at approximately 10:30 p.m.

Curry, 21 (shown at left) was serving 7 to 9 years for robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony breaking & entering and possession of stolen goods.  He was scheduled for release in Jan. 2015.

Ramey, 23, (shown at right) was serving 9 to 11 months for felony breaking & entering, possession of stolen goods and various misdemeanors.  He was scheduled for release in July 2010.
