Two join Extradition staff

The Extradition/Fugitives office has two new employees. Ssycret Evans is the new administrative officer and Danita Small is the new information processing technician.

Evans comes to the Department from the Lieutenant Governor’s office where she was director of constituent services. She said she will oversee the extradition office, reach out to local law enforcement and judges and train staff.

Evans lives in Durham with her husband. She received a bachelor’s degree in history from Johnson C. Smith University in 1988 and a law degree from North Carolina Central University in 1993.

Small’s primary duties will be to oversee interstate agreements on detainees and schedule trips for those being extradited to North Carolina. She started her career with the department as a temporary in extradition in 1988.

Small lives in Wilsons Mills with her husband and two sons.
