Firearms Instructor

This advanced two week 80 hour course is approved and regulated by the N.C. Criminal Justice Standards Commission. The primary focus is to prepare DOC candidates to train certified employees on the use of firearms in a correctional setting. A total of 27 lesson plans are presented which include legal considerations, range operations and low visibility firing. The following pre-requisites apply:

Shotgun - Barricade Position

	Must have general instructor certification.
	Must pre-qualify at the Sharpshooter level with the standard Revolver and Rifle.
	A Satisfactory score with the standard Shotgun is also required.
