"John Lee has the experience that will make him a good manager for us," said Secretary Jarvis. "He will lead our probation officers in community corrections programs that allow us to tighten our control of offenders."

Lee began his corrections career in 1974 as probation and parole officer in Henderson County. He was promoted to chief probation and parole officer in Person County in March 1980.

Lee completed the state public managers program in 1986. He serves on the Person County Criminal Justice Partnership program board and is also a board member for the Roxboro Chamber of Commerce.
