Inmate dies at Central Prison
RALEIGH – Inmate Craig Logan, 28, died Wednesday morning at Central Prison’s hospital.
At about 8 a.m. other inmates noticed Logan in distress in a dormitory bathroom. He was taken to Central Prison hospital and was pronounced dead at 8:35 a.m.
Logan was admitted to Central Prison on July 3 after being convicted of murder in Cleveland County. He had just begun serving a life sentence.
An autopsy by the state medical examiner in Chapel Hill has determined that the death was due to natural causes.
