Southern Correctional Institution Inmate Dies
TROY- Inmate Troy Sansbury died at approximately 2:44 p.m. Monday afternoon at Carolinas Medical Center. His cause of death is under investigation. Sansbury was transported to the hospital March 13 after he apparently suffered a severe reaction to acetaminophen. His body has been transferred to the medical examiner’s office in Charlotte.
Sansbury was serving an 11-year and 10-month sentence as a parole violator from Wake County. He had been convicted of breaking and entering and possession of drugs with intent to sell.
