Prison escapees captured in Baltimore NASHVILLE – Inmates Demetrius Harris and Danny Richardson, who escaped from Nash Correctional Institution on Friday, were captured at about 1 p.m. today in Baltimore, Maryland. The pair was apprehended by Baltimore police officers on a city street and offered no resistance at the time of their arrest. They will be charged with felony escape and returned to North Carolina. Garry Richardson, 23, of Hollister, was charged Monday night with accessory after the fact, for his role in transporting and hiding the inmates after their escape. Tasha Stancil, 22, of Selma, was charged Saturday with harboring an escapee for driving the inmates after their escape. Charges may also be pending against other individuals who aided the inmates. Demetrius Harris was serving 18 years for a Durham County murder conviction. Danny Richardson was serving 48 years for rape, kidnapping and burglary convictions in Nash County. # # # |
