Michael Peterson transferred to Nash Correctional Institution NASHVILLE – The Division of Prisons transferred inmate Michael Peterson to Nash Correctional Institution near Rocky Mount today. Nash Correctional Institution is a close-custody prison housing approximately 640 adult male inmates. On Friday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m., the Department of Correction will conduct a media tour of Nash Correctional Institution for journalists who want to obtain photographs and video of the prison. At that time, prison administrators will answer general questions about the facility. Members of the media planning to attend the tour should notify the Public Information Office by calling (919) 716-3700. In order to be admitted to the facility, reporters and photographers must arrive at the prison’s main entrance by no later than 1:45 p.m. and must present a valid media photo ID.
