Prison escapee captured in Wilmington

WILMINGTON – Inmate William Emory was captured this afternoon at about 4:30 pm in Wilmington.  He was arrested by Wilmington Police officers at a home on Holly Tree Road.   Emory escaped last Sunday from Hoke Correctional Institution by scaling a fence and was picked up by someone in a waiting vehicle.

Emory will be returned to prison and will face charges for escape.
