3. Population by Age and Sex

Of the 29,495 total year end population 1,780 were female.

• Females accounted for 6% of the population.

• The peak age range of female population was age 30 to 34 years (25.8%).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Males made up the largest part of the year-end population with a total of 27,715.

• Males accounted for 94% of population.

• The peak age range of male population was age 20 to 24 (20.6%).

• A larger proportion of males than of females were in the youngest age groups.

• There were more males under 20 years old than over age 49.
