2. Entries by Age and Sex

Of the 10,141 parole entries during the Fiscal Year 1,054 were female.

• Females accounted for 10% of supervision entries.

• The peak age range of female entries was age 30 to 34 years (27.8%).

During the Fiscal Year there were 9,087 male entries to parole.

• Males accounted for 90% of supervision entries.

• The peak age range of male entries was age 20 to 24 (22.3%).

• A larger proportion of males than of females were in the youngest age groups.
