Of the 23,181 admissions during the fiscal year, females accounted for 2,493.

• Females accounted for 11% of admissions.

• The peak age range of female admissions was age 30 to 34 years (25.6%).

Male admissions during the fiscal year accounted for 20,688.

• Males accounted for 89% of admissions.

• The peak age range of male admissions was age 20 to 24 (22.1%).

• A larger proportion of males than of females were in the youngest age groups.

• More males under 20 years old were admitted than over age 39.
