Angela Mizelle has been with the department for 11 years, four with OSDT. When she was in college at N.C. Wesleyan in Rocky Mount, she did an internship with Fountain Correctional Center and was hired there in 1988 as a correctional officer. She enjoys her training job. On weekends, Angela is either on her pottery wheel spinning out bowls, jugs and plates in the shop behind her Smithfield house, or she is showing her work at craft shows and festivals. "That pretty much takes up my weekends," Mizelle said. |
