Litigation involving life sentence inmates (1974-1978)
State v. BowdenOn Aug. 27, 2010, the North Carolina Supreme Court issued opinions in the cases Jones v. Keller and Brown vs. NC Dept of Correction.
Both cases involved the awarding of sentence reduction credits to inmates sentenced to life in prison during a period in the 1970s.
