2. Entries by Crime Type

Probation Entries consisted of the following Crime Types:

Violent crimes accounted for 6,998 (14%) of entries.

– the highest number of entries in this crime type was Assault which totaled 5,365 and accounted for 77% in total violent crimes.

Property crimes accounted for 15,941 (32%) of entries.

– the highest number of entries in this crime type was Larceny with a total of 6,434 and accounted for 40% in total property crimes.

Public Order crimes, including drug crimes and driving while impaired, comprised the largest category with a total of 25,700 (52%) of entries.

– Driving While Impaired had the highest number of entries in this crime type with a total of 9,747 accounting for 48% of total Public Order crimes.
