Entries to supervised probation were almost identical for black and white offenders, together comprising 96% of all entries. Indian, Oriental and those with race not reported made up the other 4%.

• 23,351 (47.0%) White.

• 24,299(48.9%) Black.

• 949 (1.9%) Indian.

• 100 (0.2%) Oriental.

• 827 (1.7%) Other.

• 194 (0.4%) Not Reported.
