3. Admissions by Crime Type

Admissions consisted of the following Crime Types:

Violent crimes accounted for 4,667 (19%) of admissions.

– the largest category of admissions in this crime type were assault which totaled 1,875 and accounted for 40% of all violent crimes.

Property crimes accounted for 8,793 (36%) of admissions.

– the largest category of admissions in this crime type were for Breaking/Entering with a total of 3,406 and accounted for 39% of all crimes against property.

Public Order crimes, including drug crimes and driving while impaired, comprised the largest category with a total of 9,695 (39%) of admissions.

– Non Trafficking drug crime made up most of the admissions in this crime type with a total of 5,235 accounting for 54% of total Public Order crimes.
