Of the 15,455 total population on June 30, 1996, the female population consisted of 1,440 offenders.

• Females accounted for 9% of the population.

• The peak age range of female population was age 30 to 34 years (27.2%).

Of the 15,455 population on June 30, 1996, males accounted for 14,015.

• Males accounted for 91% of population.

• The peak age range of male population was age 25 to 29 (22.9%).

• A larger proportion of males than of females were in the youngest age groups.
