		Putting recovery funds to work
at NCDOC On Feb. 17, 2009, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was
signed into law.  In response, Gov. Beverly Perdue created the Office of
Economic Recovery & Investment (OERI) to over see the receipt,
distribution, expenditure and resulting performance evaluation, economic
impact and reporting of the federal economic recovery funding.  To
accomplish the desired level of transparency and accountability, state
agencies were encouraged to create and maintain their own Web presence
regarding receipt and expenditure of federal funds under the ARRA.  The
Department of Correction has created this site for monitoring of its
		projects.
